The Shareasale Affiliate Program brings together online merchants great products, with the Shareasale network of affiliate partners eager to promote those products. This process is called affiliate marketing and every affiliate merchant store in our ClubShop Online Shopping Mall has an affiliate marketing program. How does The Shareasale Affiliate Program work with affiliate marketing? As you know, performance marketing is one of the most powerful and effective customer acquisition tools available to an online merchant. As a merchant affiliate, you will decide the commission structure to pay and you will only pay when results are tracked from your Shareasale affiliate links that our network affiliates use to promote your online websie. Most online network affiliates such as the Discount Home Shopping Club (DHS Club) are highly motivated sales experts that will promote your products to all of their visitors and members through their websites, membership email, newsletters, loyal customer base companies and online shopping malls.

Here's how an online merchant becomes a Shareasale merchant affiliate.

Shareasale network affiliates can apply and participate in any number of merchant affiliate programs in the Shareasale merchant affiliate network. With Shareasale network affiliates aggregating their earnings and receiving one monthly check from The Shareasale Affiliate Program. Network affiliates on our Shareasale network will see your merchant affiliate program listed in the appropriate category that each Shareasale merchant affiliate is listed in, as well as in our "New" category section for new Shareasale merchant affiliates.

You, the online merchant, signs up for The Shareasale Affiliate Program through the ClubShop Online Shopping Mall. The affiliate setup is only $150 (That's very cheap compared to other online affiliate set-up programs) and you can have your affiliate program running in only a few hours. There are no technical requirements and The Shareasale Affiliate Program will help you get the software HTML code running on your online website, free of charge. This small piece of HTML code to put on the "Action" page of your website. For example, this would be the webpage that displays a receipt. That is the only software HTML code to install, there is no other programming knowledge required at all. Also, The Shareasale Affiliate Program will give you your money back and take you out for ice cream (Ice cream deal only for the Chicago area only) if we can't get the software to work with your online web site within 2 weeks (It usually only takes a couple of hours).

There's also a minimum deposit amount of $50 and this amount is used to pay the affiliates and The Shareasale Affiliate Program for sales, clicks and other qualified leads that you define. You can choose the amount and setup for your affiliate program to pay network affiliates such as the DHS Club on a percentage per sale (PPS), a pay per lead basis (PPL or CPA) or pay per click (PPC). The Shareasale Affiliate Program has a 20% transaction fee and these transaction fees are based on your payout to The Shareasale Affiliate Program network affiliates such as the DHS Club. For example, if you pay a network affiliate $1 per sale, you pay The Shareasale Affiliate Program 20% of the $1.00 ($0.20 Transaction Fee). The transaction fee and the commissions paid to network affiliates come from the minimum deposit. Our network affiliates are paid from us because we do all of the check writing. Our netwok affiliates are paid on the 20th of every month, accurately and ontime.

Affiliate partners, such as the DHS Club, who are apart of The Shareasale Affiliate Program affiliate network, will see your affiliate program and apply to your affiliate program. You can choose to either accept or decline an affiliate application. Once accepted, these Affiliate partners will then put your affiliate banners on their online websites and the traffic will come through to your online site. When a measurable action, such as a sale, lead or click is generated to your online site, The Shareasale Affiliate Program will check to see if an affiliate network partner brought you that sale, lead or click. If they did, your account at The Shareasale Affiliate Program is deducted the pre-defined amount that you choose and the Affiliate partner is credited that amount. At the end of the month, The Shareasale Affiliate Program takes care of paying the Affiliate partners. As long as you keep your balance with Shareasale Affiliate Program above $0.00, The Shareasale Affiliate Program will continue to bring you sales, leads and traffic.

You can provide your own affiliate banner ads, utilize text and email links or have the option to have shareasale.com professionally design your affiliate banner ads for you at $150 per affiliate banner. You upload the banners that you want used, onto The Shareasale Affiliate Program site (Shareasale.com), through our Affiliate Banner Management Center.

Once your affiliate program is set-up, Shareasale.com will use their 3rd party tracking cookie links to track leads, sales and clicks from your online website. Since each link redirects first to the Shareasale.com servers, and then to your online web site, we are able to match up at the event of a sale, lead or click with the affiliate who caused the action. Upon the action on your website (such as a sale or lead), your code that we provided to you during setup will report to us that an action has taken place. At that time, we figure out which affiliate, if any, is responsible for the transaction. If we hadn't figured out how to tell the difference, we wouldn't be able to be in business. All normal day to day internet sales and traffic that don't come from our tracking cookies links and banners, are not tracked by shareasale.com because they did not come through a shareasale.com affiliate. Our research indicates that nearly 99% of internet users have cookies enabled on their browser. Cookies are an integral part of the web and aid the creation of e-commerce website, user-friendly websites and other customized sites. In the uncommon event, however, that a customer has cookies disabled on their browser, the customer is not available to be tracked and sales will not be tracked. In this case, no commissions are paid to The Shareasale Affiliate Program or the network affiliate that sent you the sale, lead or traffic (Free sale).

The Shareasale Affiliate Program also uses Sub ID tracking. Sub ID tracking is mostly for online network affiliates, such as the DHS Club, that have a membership base. These network affiliates can promote a merchant affiliate website, but network affiliates have the ability to track individual sales with Sub ID tracking.

Shareasale.com accepts international membership.
